Bogdan George Apetri comes from Piatra Neamţ where he first studied Law and then worked as a lawyer for one year. Later, he enrolled at the Columbia University of New York, where he obtained an MA in film directing. His first film, "Periferic" (2010), received numerous national and international awards, including 5 Gopo Awards (The Association for the Promotion of Romanian Films) in 2012.
