Lucian Vărșăndan – nominated at the Cultural Radio Romania Awards

Lucian Vărșăndan former director of the German State Theatre Timisoara (GSTT), was nominated at the Cultural Radio Romania Awards for 2017 in the Theatre category, announces Radio Romania.

In the Theatre category, the nominees were people that changed the theatre world in Timisoara in the past ten years, their performances bringing even more attention to it in 2017 according to the organizers. Vărșăndan was nominated „for excellency in his visionary management and coherence in artistic strategy at the German State Theatre in Timisoara”. Miki Braniște, director of the Temps d’Images Festival in Cluj and Bogdan Sărătean coordinator of the „25 hours of non-stop theatre” festival in Sibiu are also nominated for the same category.

Cultural Radio Romania awards the most important achievements in culture from the previous year. Traditionally, the award ceremony is held at the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest, this year, on the 19th of March.

Lucian Vărșăndan is 42 years old. Between 2007 and 2017 he was the director of the GSTT. In 2016 he was a State Secretary within the Ministry of Culture.
