Aida Olaru was born in 1998 in Timișoara and graduated acting at the Faculty of Music and Theatre at the West University in Timișoara. In her third year of studies, she got a scholarship at the College of Arts in Social Life in Ottersberg, Germany. She also worked in cultural management and participated in various training in this field. She has participated in various theater festivals in Romania and Germany, including FITS, IzolArt, Studio Festival, Flight Festival, Nonstop. Since 2020 she has been collaborating with the cultural association Arte Factum, where she plays the role of Sonja in an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment" and that of Eréndira from a story by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. In 2022 she was part of the cast of the production "Stage Identities", which premiered in Stuttgart and was a collaboration between TART Produktion Stuttgart and the German State Theater in Timișoara.
At the German State Theatre Timisoara she plays in: "A Midsummer Night's Dream" adapted from the work of William Shakespeare”, directed by Kristóf Szabó, in the role of Cobweb; "The Cherry Orchard" by Anton Chekhov, directed by Volker Schmidt, in the role of Dunyasha; "Leonce and Lena" by Georg Büchner, directed by Niky Wolcz; "The Snow Queen" by Evgeny Schwartz, directed by László Béres, in the role of the robber's daughter; and Lysistrata 3.0 after Aristophanes, directed by Niky Wolcz, in the role of Delia.
