Give Granny a Rest!

by Lev Kazarnovskis –– Directed by Simona Vintilă

Vladimir and Elena were able to immigrate to Germany because of their German grandmother who, sadly, dies just before the trip. So as to not lose the right of residence, the two take with them a doll in a wheelchair and claim that it is the paralyzed grandmother. The plan seems to work until curious neighbour Uliana insists to help the paralyzed grandmother walk again. Now Vladimir and Elena must find a way out of this mess.

Press excerpts

"All actors are making their roles with nerve, are exact in their interpretations and are prompt and vigilant in their support for each other. […] Zsolt Fehérvári's set design is minimalist: on stage there are only a few objects that re-create the dorm room' precarious conditions. […] The ending brings the laughter to an abrupt halt and brutally eliminates the comic notes. […] Simona Vintilă creates an amusing performance, where the comedy of situation and character is predominant and taken  to the point of caricature."
