Boris Gaza

Boris Gaza studied percussion at the School of Arts in Timișoara and studied acting in German both at the Faculty of Music and Theatre of the West University of Timișoara and at the Ernst Busch University in Berlin.


Since 2000 he has been a member of the GSTT ensemble, and from 2007 to 2021 he was also coordinator of the artistic team. In recent years he has performed in productions such as Leonce and Lena by Georg Büchner as King Peter of the Kingdom of Popo; The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling as the wolf Akela; A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare as Zettle; Lysistrata 3.0 by Aristophanes as Strategos; The Theatre by Pascal Rambert as Boris; The Snow Queen by Yevgeny Schwarz as one of the antagonists.


He worked with the following directors: Victor Ioan Frunză, Niky Wolcz, Ștefan Darida, Pascal Rambert, Răzvan Mazilu, Kristóf Szabó. 

He regularly participates at theatre festivals in the country and abroad.


Awards: In 2011/2012 he received the Grand Jury Prize at the Utah Arts Festival (USA) for the film production The Crossing (directed by C. Plesh), and for the same production he also received the Silver Award at the California Film Awards, as well as six awards at the Los Angeles Film Festival in Hollywood, including Best Actor in a Leading Role. Since 2009 he has repeatedly participated in filming for various projects in Romania and Germany.
