Dana Borteanu was born in Reschitza and graduated in Timisoara in 1997 from the College of Music and Theatre of the Western University, Department of Acting in German. Already since 1992 she appeared in numerous performances of the German State Theater of Timisoara. Some of the play directors in whose productions she has participated are: Yuri Kordonsky, Zeno Stanek, Clemens Bechtel, Bernhard Eusterschulte, Niky Wolcz, Răzvan Mazilu, Alexandru Dabija, Gabor Tompa, Cătălina Buzoianu, Mihai Măniuțiu, Bogdan Ulmu, Victor Ioan Frunză, Alexander Hausvater, Silviu Purcărete.
Dana Borteanu appeared in several films, but her great passion belongs to music. Already in Reschitza she was a member of the rock band Ramses. Then in Timisoara followed other bands and projects in which she participated and still participates: Ultimatum, Arca, Stepan Project, Reșița Rocks, Pro Musica, Blackjack, Rockul Carantinei and Scar.
At the DSTT, her performances include "The Snow Queen" by Yevgeny Schwarz (directed by László Béres) and the musical "The Jungle Book" based on the story book of the same name by Rudyard Kipling (directed by Răzvan Mazilu).
